Hello, I’m Junhyuk Kang(강준혁)
I am a Ph.D. student in Network Convergence & Security Laboratory(MMLAB), Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Seoul National University. I am advised by Prof. Taekyoung (Ted) Kwon.
My research interests primarily lie in AI Security and Application Privacy. More specifically, I focus on security in distributed learning environments, as well as privacy protection within network and web environments.
In addition to security research, I have a strong passion for hacking and CTFs, with a primary focus on web hacking. I am currently an active member of RubiyaLab, participating in various CTF competitions. I also serve as a subcommittee member for the Hacking Organization Research Group at the Korean National Police Agency
Recent
- Graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Master’s degree from the Graduate School of Information Security at Korea University.
- Received the TTA Best Paper Award at MobiSec 2025 for the first-authored paper, “ObfSwin: Transformer-based Multi-class Obfuscation Classification for Windows Portable Executable.”
- I won the 2nd Place at FIESTA 2025 (Financial Security Threat Analysis Contest) hosted by the Financial Security Institute (FSI), receiving a prize of approximately $1,400.
- I competed in DEF CON CTF 33, 2025 as a member of Team Cold Fusion. We advanced to the finals after ranking 8th in the qualifiers and ultimately finished in 10th place in the final competition.
